Bachchan apologises for Jaya’s remark

Mumbai, Sep 10 (IANS) Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan Wednesday evening apologised on behalf of his entire family for the controversy after his wife Jaya Bachchan’s alleged anti-Marathi remarks. Expressing “pain and regrets” at events of the past four days, Bachchan termed Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray – who had criticised Jaya Bachchan and sought apology – as his “brother”.
He was interacting with mediapersons after his return from London Tuesday midnight following a shooting stint abroad.
