Cheeni Kum is Amitabh’s and Tabu’s first film together
The film is a comedy which is directed by adman-turned-filmmaker R Balakrishnan.
Cheeni Kum is Tabu’s second film this year after The Namesake.
The film, in which Amitabh Bachchan plays a chef, has been extensively shot in London.
Cheeni Kum is a sarcastic love story of a 64 year old arrogant, acidic chef of London’ top Indian restaurant and a simple 34 year old unmarried woman, visiting London.
The story of the film is thus based on the couple’s funny struggle to break the news to the woman’s father and the choas they go through convincing him.
The film, which hits the theatres on May 25, also stars the inimitable Zohra Sehgal.
