Let’s have a glimpse on her passing affairs: beginning with tinsel town’s macho man Salman Khan. Although, the duo didn’t part ways on amicable terms but they undoubtedly compliment each other as far as looks are concerned. Salman and later, Vivek Oberoi were head-over-heels in love with this world-class beauty. Ash never denied of an affair with Salman, however, she was left with nothing but sheer emotional scars at the end. Like the other two ladies Anju Mahendru and Dimple Kapadia, she could not withhold herself from raving about Khanna. Such was the charm of super-stars on all the ladies he dated in his time.

Viraj (Akshay) is a Hollywood stunt man who doesn’t believe in marriage and lives by the belief that women are good for only two things. When he comes to know that his younger brother Lucky (Aftab) is getting married, he rushes to break it off. At the same time the bride, Kamini’s (Amrita) best friend Simrita (Kareena) too rushes in dissuading her from getting married to a ‘second hand’ person aka a stuntman.

But it is too late as the couple has already made up their mind. But not before a war of words ensues between the chauvinist Viraj and snooty Simrita. The reason why Simrita (who by the way is a medical student cum part time model) hates men is the examples she has seen in her own family. She therefore believes men are only interested in taking women into their beds and nothing else.

But then fate keeps Viraj and Simrita bumping more into each other and their each meeting only doubling up their hate for each other. Meanwhile, Simrita’s stubbornness leads Lucky and Kamini to the brink of divorce. While Viraj tries to stop this divorce from taking place Simrita tries her best to ensure it takes place. Things get more complicated when during Viraj’s operation, Simrita accidentally leaves her watch inside his stomach. What it all leads to forms the rest of the plot.

Kambakkht Ishq is one of the most lavish productions to come out of Bollywood no doubts about it. But despite involving four scriptwriters the film still falls short of the expectations where the promised wholesome entertainment is concerned. The main problem being the wafer thin plot, then again some really bad jokes that fall flat and finally the second half. Also many a times the thin line of acceptance has been crossed in the name of humour which makes it a difficult watch for the family audience.

The first half breezes quickly but the second half slows down considerably. The serious turn taken though comes in with the flow of the film, it gets boring as you know it very well where it is all going to lead to. Though it is applause worthy job by debutante director Sabbir Khan to helm a film as huge, you sorely miss a David Dhawan who would have controlled the lunatic moments more effeciently.

To give due credit, ‘Hollywood’ has been well incorporated by Sabbir in the film. Though Taurus awards sequence has been superbly picturised, the makers seem to be under the impression that award winners arrive first on stage followed by announcement of arrival of award presenters at prestigious international awards.

The film scores high in the technical department with cinematographer Vikas Sivaraman coming on tops. He has succeeded in imparting the film an international look. However, barring the Mangalam number the music of the film is not worth a mention.

Akshay Kumar is back in terrific form as a performer. He is simply superb in his award acceptance speech. Kareena has never looked so hot before. She manages to put up her own against Akshay but is saddled by poor characterization, especially in the second half. Almost 80% of the time her character has been burdened with a permanent growl on the face. Amrita Arora is cute as her dim wit friend.

Aftab is passable. Kirron Kher is getting irritatingly repetitive. Boman Irani in a single scene appearance is hilarious but Javed Jaffrey grates on your nerves and its high time he realises that his ‘punny’ jokes don’t work every time. Vindoo Dara Singh as the dumb assist of Akshay is mirthful. Amongst the Hollywood stars, Sylvester Stallone commands great screen presence but Denise Richards looks too old but she does enact her part well.

Watching the promos and the huge hype the makers have managed to create about their film, your expectation levels are high when you enter but as you come out you do feel that it is nothing more than a dumb entertainer that tries to take you too much for granted. It may take a great start at the box office but the crowds will vanish from Monday once the hype begins to settles down.

But their joys are short lived as Underworld don Raman Shetty (Sayaji Shinde) starts making extortion calls to Baabe since he wants to usurp his palatial villa. How the trio of Raj, Yash and Jassi teams up together and turns the tables on the underworld don and what hilarious consequences it all leads to forms the rest of the film.

The film is clearly aimed at the masses so it would be futile to make an in depth analysis of the film. But still having said that, the film is a clear example of how filmmakers tend to take their target audiences for granted. Fine they don’t expect you to bring your brains to such movies but why insult the intelligence so much?

All possible cinematic liberties taken, all much used and abused clichés incorporated, heroines used for mere skin show, songs tumbling out of nowhere and pathetic hamming in the name of acting is that what you spend your money to watch?

The director of the film, Ajay Chandok needs a quick lesson in filmmaking and understanding that even the smaller center audiences has grown up and have discarded stuff which worked in the 80s. Chandok every single film till date – be it Nehle Pe Dehla or recently flopped Ek Se Bure Do seems to show his lack of imagination in handling comedy and providing something new in terms of entertainment. Team is no exception either.

While Sohail and Yash Tonk simply irritate, Vrajesh Hirjee and his fake Punjabi accent grates on your nerves. Kulbhushan Kharbanda bores you with his forever glum expressions. The two heroines Aarti Chabbria and Amrita Arora are used only as glam dolls. However it is Sayaji Shinde who manages to evoke lot of laughter.

This film is a total waste of time and money for everyone.

Daboo Malik has scored Melodious music while director Ajay Chandhok has embellished the film with plenty of entertaining gags and punches to suit the taste of the present-day audiences about the film, director Ajay Chandhok says “Team – The Force” is about three friends Raj (Sohail Khan), Yash (Yash Tonk) and Jassi (Rajesh Hirjee) who want to make it big in the music industry and are staying with Babe (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) and his family at their bungalow as paying guests.

But their hard work goes in vain until Babe who considers them as his own sons finances them and tells them to launch their own Video Album by sending them to Goa to work on their project. Babe gets a phone call from Underworld Don Raman Shetty (Sayaji Shinde) who wants to extort money from Baba’s property. What follows later is full of hilarious moment and after the entry of Mukesh Tiwari the film gets a further boost of entertainment.

The film is started for 5th June release just the right time when schools and colleges are re-opening and a very good period to cash in the college boys and girls who love youthful and breezy entertainment. Even my whole team of writer Yunus Sajjawal lyricists Praveen Bharadwaj, Shabbir Ahmed and Kunwar Juneja alongwith music director Daboo Malik have worked very hard to achieve the best. All I can say is that the producer are too good as the supported me throughout the making of the film and I got the full support of my whole team of artistes and technicians. Truly the film is aptly titled “Team-The Force”.

It dint stop there to Amus surprise she ended up encountering a great hindi film buff as her hotel staff as well. When contacted, Amrita replies; “It was a pleasant 2 see my fans in European cities I travel to. My work and dedication towards my carrier has being recognized and benefited me by fan following all over the world..”.

It’s arguably the most important day of her life. And Amrita Arora is naturally excited as she prepares for her Christian wedding to beau Shakeel Ladak. The nikaah is two days later. “We were supposed to have a church wedding today,” Amrita chatters excitedly as the makeup lady does her most challenging job ever for the actress. “But there were some security hassles . So we quickly moved the venue to Olive. But no hassles because we always had a standby ready.”

Amrita gives full credit to her sister Malaika for all the arrangements. “I know nothing about the wedding arrangement. It was all done by my sister who put her own life on hold to look into my wedding details.I’m blessed to have such a supportive family. I’ve my wedding today(Wednesday 4 March) and I’m talking to you while my folks are taking care of everything,” the bride got emotional as her mother reminded her she needed to hurry up with the dressing up.

But Amrita decided to get introspective . “You know , the minute I set my eyes on Shakeel I knew he was the man I wanted to marry. It’s like a karmic connection. I just felt it. I had never felt this before. Shakeel is everything that I want my husband to be. And I’m determined to make our marriage work. I’ll do whatever it takes.”

Ask her about the honeymoon which will follow the sangeet on Thursday and the nikaah on Friday and Amrita shrugs, “ The problem is, both Shakeel and I are so widely traveled we’ve nowhere to go that we can claim as being our private honeymoon spot. There doesn’t seem to be any place that neither of us has not visited. I guess we’ll just hold each other’s hand close our eyes and point to any part of the globe as our honeymoon spot. It doesn’t matter where we go as long as we’re together.”
