The event had a brilliant performance by the Blind Man’s Band – a band in which every member is blind, accompanied by Vijay Prakash, the critically acclaimed singer of songs like Manmohini from the movie Yuvraaj. Mind-blowing acts and audio visuals showed the audience how blind and deaf children can recognise currency and people, and can operate the computer, travel in local trains and change platforms without any help, have jobs in offices… all this without being able to see, hear or speak! The film tells the story of an unlucky bloke Govind (Gaurav) whose bad luck runs so strong that it immediately passes on to those around him. Not only cows stop giving milk if he passes a tabela, people fall of their bicycles, men also lose their manlihood if he is around.
