The official music launch of Sony Music & Vishesh Films’ much awaited film TUM MILE, the songs of which have already started to conquer charts and hearts alike, took place amidst high fanfare on 22nd September, 2009 at Cinemax Versova in Mumbai. The cast & crew of the film including Emraan Hashmi, Soha Ali Khan, Mahesh Bhatt & director Kunal Deshmukh along with Shridhar Subramaniam, M.D of Sony Music, were present to grace the occasion. Music Director of Tum Mile, Pritam, with singers from the film, Neeraj Shridhar, Mohit Chauhan and Javed Ali rocked the music launch event. Tum Mile is scheduled to storm the theatres all across on 13th November, 09.

The event started with the screening of film’s theatrical trailor for the media people, followed by some songs of the film, which were screened exclusively for the first time. The cast & crew of Tum Mile shared their experiences about the film and the music with the media. Finally the event concluded with Pritam, Mohit, Neeraj & Javed’s unplugged performances.

On this occasion, Mr. Mahesh Bhatt said- “Vishesh Films has always catered and concentrated on quality music & our collaboration with Sony Music has given some of the biggest chartbusters like Jannat& Raaz – The Mystery Continues. TUM MILE is going to be the Music of the year. This is Pritam’s best album till date & I must say he has given an all new sound and feel to it. After giving chartbuster music for our films Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Awarapan & Jannat, Pritam is yet again on the road to another smash hit album.”

The music maestro Pritam seemed quite confident of the music of the film and commented- “Tum Mile is one of my finest creations till date. The USP of the music is its freshness. Also for the first time in my life I have not used any remixes. All the songs are different and the lyrics really convey the mood. I hope it is cherished for years to come”

Tum Mile is a love story with a background of 26th July 2005 Mumbai Floods & amidst all the chaos and the tragedy, it reunites two star crossed ex-lovers, who meet after a hiatus of 6 years-now occupying different worlds. Evidently, they had moved on. What starts off as a seemingly innocuous encounter on the same flight back to Mumbai, ends up as a rollercoaster ride through some of the darkest hours of Mumbai, as they see the city get swamped with disaster and loss. They are forced to stick together in this time of crisis.

The film cast and crew, Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Kareena Kapoor, along with Bappi Lahiri, music directors Sajid-Wajid and director Prem Soni officially launched the music of their much-awaited romantic amidst fun and humour. The much talked about movie is all set to sizzle on screen on 16th October 2009.

The event started off with Prem Soni hosting the event followed by the screening of the songs, and interactions with the media.

Kareena Kapoor dazzled in her purple dress and as usual Salman and Sohail looked at their best. Speaking to the media Kareena Kapoor said, ‘I have known Prem since the past eight years‘.

Elaborating about her bond with the Khan family Kareena said that her sister Karishma has always been close to Salman. ‘We have been family friends for years. That is why I chose to do this film. Also, I have a role that I haven?t done before. My character is strong representing today?s thinking woman. When narrated the script to me I knew I had to this film.’

The evening, however, changed its shade the minute Salman took to the ?mike. As usual Salman entertained the media with his funny one-liners.

Salman continued to pepper the evening with humour. Salman said he was very happy that the movie has shaped up very well and is flattered by the way Prem Soni has directed it. Salman had words of praises for Kareena Kapoor and Sohail Khan on their acting abilities.

Main Aur Mrs Khanna marks the debut of Bappi Lahiri as an actor. Sohail Khan who is a producer and an actor in the movie said, ‘He is very happy that UTV has trusted the project and invested on the project. He always enjoys working with Salman bhai, and with Kareena Kapoor as usual they have given a brilliant performance in the movie.

The evening was rounded off with Bappida singing two lines of his evergreen number, ‘Pyar karte karte hum tum kahin kho jaayenge, inhi baharon mein aapas main lipt kar so jaayenge. Phir laut aayenge tum yuhi bulate rehana. Kabhi alvida na kehna.‘ Well that said it all!

Trust Ajay Devgn to surprise us with the most unusual antics! If you thought that making the most expensive Bollywood song and performing a somersault in a car for his upcoming film ‘All The Best’ was crazy enough, here’s some more news…. the producer- actor launched the music of the film at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak temple on Friday!

The entire team of the film, including Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mugdha Godse along with Director Rohit Shetty visited the temple on Friday morning to launch the music of the film. Giving them company were music director Pritam and Krishan Kumar representing T-Series (as head honcho Bhushan Kumar was not in town).

Bollywood stars, producers and directors visiting temples at the time of a film’s release in not a new phenomena but a producer actually releasing the music of his film at a temple was something unheard of in Bollywood so far!

Interestingly, Ajay Devgn picked up Fardeen from his Juhu residence and went straight to Sanjay Dutt’s place at Bandra, where Bipasha & Mugdha were already present. The team then left together from Sanjay’s place for the temple at Prabhadevi; a clear sign of the camaraderie amongst the cast members.

The promos of ‘All The Best’ are already high on the popularity charts with their fresh and colourful illustrations and music director Pritam has created some rocking numbers for this comic caper; including 5 songs and 2 remixes packed in the audio CD.

The first one to walk in was Anjali Pandey followed by Ramji Gulati. Biba had lots of questions to answer regarding her profession of being a doctor in New york and doing the balancing act with Music! Lot of young men wanted to be her patients already it seemed!

Sunidhi Chauhan walked in a green outfit looking serene, Dj Sheizwood, Arvinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh bonded over music with Ashiesh Roy. Mika arrived in all his glory and had all the heads turning. Biba and Mika have been good friends since 15 years now. On stage were Biba Singh, Mika Singh, Biba’s parents and brother and Ratnakar Kumar of Worldwide Records and music director Santok Singh. Biba said she was thankful to her parents and God for fulfilling her dream.

It was a buzzing affair; Biba had lot of questions from her guests on her singing and her music. Mika her dear friend stood by her throughout the evening, Biba did sing a song on request and fulfilled the wish of all who wanted to know how doctor sounded and she had resounding claps when she sang her album song in her dulcet voice.

It was a grand musical evening and a dream for Biba, which got fulfilled on her birthday.

Himesh Reshammiya unveils Radio music album at Lalbaugh ganesha in dadar, Mumbai on 29th Aug 2009. Producer Ravi Agrawal and director Ishan Trivedi organised the audio release of the film Radio at Lalbaugh Ka Raja.Bhusan Kumar of Tseries came with Ajay Kapoor to take the blessings of Ganpati Bappa.Himesh Reshammiya came with his father Vipin Reshammiya for the audio release.

A funeral gone horribly wrong can only be a laughter riot for those who are not part of it, that’s the upcoming film ‘Daddy Cool’ that releases worldwide on August 28, 2009. BIG Music released the music of the film today at Cinemax-Versova, amid much fanfare and a mesmerizing rendition of hit number ‘Daddy Cool’ by the film’s music composer Raghav Sachar. From the makers of Masti and Dhamaal, Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s ‘Daddy Cool’, is a co-production between BIG Pictures and Maruti Pictures.

The director of the film K Murali Mohan Rao, Producer duo Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria along with the entire star cast of the film were present at the music launch– Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Prem Chopra, Javed Jaffrey, Aarti Chhabria, Ashish Chowdhry, Tulip Joshi, Kim Sharma, Sophie Choudry, Rajpal Yadav and Chunky Pandey.

The multi-starrer Daddy Cool is a comedy of errors, and adding zing to the music album from the stable of BIG Music is Raghav’s groovy and foot-tapping compositions. The producers have acquired the rights to produce desi version of “Daddy Cool”. Raghav has developed a psychedelic version of “Daddy Cool”– which begins with an Indianised version of the music in the 60s in India, with a hip-hop feel throughout the track, live percussions and Raghav’s signature flute piece. The beauty of the new feel to “Daddy Cool” is not just this– Raghav has also added a Punjabi and a Qawwali feel at some places in the track.

According to Kulmeet Makkar, CEO BIG Music, “Daddy Cool’s music will surely be a hit with the youngsters. The songs in the album are peppy; something that is loved by all generations. Raghav Sachar has given a fresh, desi flavor to ‘Daddy Cool’ and this composition will surely rock the charts this year,” he said.

Along with the title track of “Daddy Cool”, there is a high-energy dance track, “Nasha Nasha”. Sung by Neha Bhasin in her sultry voice, the song is an ode to the ladies featured in the film and has a hip-hop feel to it. There is also a remix version of the same track, which is twice the pace of the original song, which is sure to be on demand in nightclubs in the coming days.

Ashok Thakeria, producer of Daddy Cool, said “Daddy Cool is a light hearted situational comedy that has many laughs in store for a fun loving audience. The film has been made with a serious intent to make people laugh. We hope the audience enjoy the FUN-eral this August.”

Mahesh Ramanathan, COO, BIG Pictures, the film is a complete package of comedy and drama, well intertwined. “The title track of Daddy Cool is sure to considerably broaden the appeal of the film especially a new generation of younger audiences who have not experienced the power of the original number. The music album contains seven tracks in all, including remix versions of two songs. True to his style and music repertoire, Raghav has made use of a plethora of instruments for each of the tracks.

Raghav said, “My first impression when I was signed on to compose the music for the film Daddy Cool was, that I wanted to get the right sound and beats for the title song which today’s generation would like. I am happy with the outcome, where I have given a different flavor to the song with desi jibes. At the same time “Nasha Nasha” is by far my most superlative composition till date.”

With its hilarious plot, cheeky characters, and of course, groovy music, Daddy Cool is sure to make waves among the Indian film-going audience. The film is about the funeral of a Goan named Douglas Lazarus, and the proceedings is not at all demure– the coffin makers deliver the wrong body; the dead man’s elder son Steven (Suniel Shetty) attempts at an eulogy which includes the description of the rivers in Goa; the younger son Brian (Ashish Chowdhry) who isn’t willing to take care of his widowed mother for the sake of his pet dogs; an insecure Nancy (Aarti Chhabria) who is Steven’s wife; a proud Mrs Lazarus (Suhasini Mulay) who doesn’t consider herself widowed yet. Then there is a doped and nervous Michael (Aftab Shivdasani); expressing his love for Maria (Tulip Joshi); her junkie brother (Chunky Pandey); a knife-wielding suspicious Jenny (Kim Sharma) who finds her husband Carlos (Jaaved Jaaffrey) pleading forgiveness from hot model Ayesha (Sophie Choudry). Confusions and misunderstanding galore, Daddy Cool is sure to tickle your ribs.
