Mumbai, Aug 17 (IANS) Well-known bhajan singer Anup Jalota and Kavi Narayan Agarwal have launched a music company called Shabd ‘n Sur to promote amateur singers. “There are many talented singers who aspire to make a career in singing, but can’t fulfil their dreams because of various reasons. After a soulful rendition of “Maula mere maula” for the movie “Anwar”, Rathod has sung another Sufi song titled “Teri justajoo” that he says is an extension of the previous one. “‘Teri Justajoo’ is a Sufi song and has been compiled by music director Kuldip Singh’s son Harpreet. Chandigarh, Aug 6 (IANS) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal Wednesday urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to order an inquiry into the mysterious death of Ludhiana-based budding singer Ishmeet Singh. Ishmeet, 19, who won the “Voice of India†reality TV show featuring a singing contest in November last year, died July 29 by drowning in the swimming pool of a resort in the Maldives where he had gone to attend an event.
