Wigan & Leigh College, Mumbai, presents ‘Chimera 2008′, a fashion show organized by the students themselves. The show has been choreographed by Achla Sachdev. It is rated as one of the best fashion shows in the industry created by students.

This year the college will generate 16 incredible designers. Their platform will be their show itself, with themes as diverse as agony of silence, aqua and caravan. Their themes are conceptual and commercially apt. Each student is like a master piece. With an average of 16-25 students graduating each year, they are the finest of the lot!

This year the fashion show will see top models like Carol Gracias, Mugdha Godse, Shonal Rawat, Sucheta, Alessia, Kanishtha, Gabriel, Jaqueline, Somana, Vidyut and many more walk the ramp. The jury has known names like James Ferreira, Designer, Xerxes Bhatena, Designer and Ashley Rebello, Designer. Expected guests are Aryan Vaid, Aditya Pancholi, Anu Shafi Ranjan, Rosa, Vikram Bawa, Babita Malkani and famous rap singer Hard Kaur.

The show will be rated under parameters like design, versatility and use of fasteners. The unusual thing about this show will be fasteners, yes…. Bags, garments and accessories…. All will have a unique usage of zips and velcro.

Golmaal 2 the sequel to Golmaal will soon be out in September. Golmaal 2 is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd and will be directed by Rohit Shetty. Golmaal which released last year was a story about the adventures of four brats which included Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi and Tusshar Kapoor. With the success of this comedy, the makers of the film decided to continue the adventures of these four men. However due to some problem with dates and money, sharman is replaced by Shreyas Talpade.

Hey baby is much like Leonard Nimoy’s Three Men & A Baby. Sajid wanted Shah Rukh to make an appearance in his directorial debut. After all, his sister Farah Khan has directed both her films with SRK in the lead. When Sajid requested Shah Rukh to put in a guest appearance in Heyy Babyy, SRK agreed without a second thought. His only condition was that Sajid would have to wait until SRK returned from his family holiday in London. The minute SRK returned to Mumbai he allotted the dates to the anxious debutant director. SRK and Anupam Kher will create a crackling chemistry similar like what they did in DDLJ. Not to miss this one when it hits the theatre.

Love Story 2050

Harry Baweja and Adlabs, the team behind LOVE STORY 2050, which marks the acting debut of Harman Baweja, is one ambitious film to look forward to. The film has been in the news even without Harry making any noise about it. The latest development is, the producers have finally locked the release date: 21st December 2007. Not only has Harry invested a lot of money in the project, he is also investing a lot of time in its special effects. They are devoting a total of 9 months to get the desired output. They have already spent 4 months and estimates that another 5 months more is required for a final OK. The special effects are being executed by four international firms, of which two special effects houses — Weta [New Zealand] and John Cox [Brisbane, Australia] — have already won the coveted Oscar for their work on international projects.
