Walt Disney buys video rights of ‘Taare Zameen Par’

The deal is estimated to be worth Rs.50 million but Aamir Khan’s production office refused to corroborate it. (more…)

Star Studded Evening at the 53rd Filmfare Awards

A star-studded evening that this year’s mega event 53rd Fairone Filmfare Awards was, some stars shined out as some took it to heart to miss the glow. The ceremony was held at the Yashraj Studios. The stars who shined were one of the fresh faces of this year Deepika Padukone, she even took home the Best Female Debutante award along with being the most vied for gal in the film industry today. The show brought in two amazing actors Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan managed to make the audience go into spill of laughter by cracking so very realistic jokes on almost everyone including themselves. The duo even went to the extent of giving some awards like worst dressed lady to Vidya Balan for her dressing sense in Heyy Babby and Ramesh Sippy got his ‘Na-real’ for Ram Gopal Varma Ki Sholay. Shah rukh even dared to tease Saif by referring to Kareena, while Kareena sat with her charming smile on all the while. (more…)

Here are the winners of the 53rd Annual Filmfare Awards. SRK and Kareena bagged the best actor and the actress award. Critics award for best actor went to Darsheel Safary, the young lad who worked with Aamir in Taare Zameen Par. He sure has a long way and a bright future here in Bollywood. (more…)

Taare Zameen ParTaare Zameen Par is Aamir Khan’s eagerly awaited directorial debut. Yet again, Aamir proves why he is different as he chose a difficult subject like dyslexia in children. The movie tackles a delicate issue of dyslexia through the eyes of the affected child, based on the experiences of Amole Gupta, the creative director of the movie. The handling is very sensitive and devoid of melodrama, that makes it completely believable. The spotlight stays completely on Darsheel and Aamir the star is totally forgotten.
