Pran’s 88th Birthday with Dharam, Dilip and Shammi

Pran Saab the original bad man of Bollywood with movies like Barsaat ki Ek Raat, Ram Aur Sham, Jugnu, Victoria No. 203, Bobby, Karz, Zanjeer, Asha etc. to his credit celebrated his 88th bithday with great gusto on 12th February at the Bombay 72 Degrees East in Juhu – the latest and hottest restaurant and lounge bar in Bombay.

Flanked by his entire family Pran Saab was one lucky man, his daughter, sons & son-in-law played the perfect hosts making sure that everyone enjoyed themselves. The golden era of bollywood graced the event with the likes of Dilip Kumar with his better half Saira Bano, Shammi Kapoor & his wife, the ever so young Dharam Paaji, Jeetendra & the showman of Bollywood Subhash Ghai, Danny Denzonpa & Raza Murad made a very rare apearance at the event to wish Pran Saab, who was anything but the villain, patiently smiling at the friends & graciously accepting the wishes everyone showered on him, the birthday boy was a thorough gentleman. A number of villains & vamps of the silverscreen who were inspired by Pran Saabs distinct style were also present to join the festivities.

The beautiful, warm & cozy atmosphere of the restaurant only added to the glitterati of this personal gathering. Very different from the usual Page3 parties the evening had a more personal touch & feel to it. An amazing feature was Pran Saab’s memorable movie clippings, pictures, paintings & awards that were beautifully compiled for a video being played gave that distinct personal touch to the party.

A beautiful soiree with even more beatiful people it was an evening to remember, on that note we wish Pran Saab many happy returns of the day & wish him many more happy & joyous years.
