Ensemble turns 25. India’s first multi-designer store kick starts its 25 year anniversary celebrations from 12.12.12. Mumbai, 12th December, 2012: Ensemble, India’s first haute couture store that pioneered & revolutionized the concept of fashion retail and multi-designer space in India celebrated its 25th anniversary on 12.12.12. Ensemble turned 25 on the 12th of December and kick-started a series of events to celebrate the iconic year at all its stores across India.

To celebrate Ensemble’s 25 glorious years, India’s top designers have come together to create an exclusive Limited Edition Anniversary collection for Ensemble which will be displayed at the Ensemble stores in Mumbai and New Delhi throughout the month of December. The designers have done a retrospective and they have selected some of the finest creations from Ensemble, and then re-invented those pieces to showcase on this special occasion. As Ensemble turned 25 on the 12th of December 2012, all the key designers joined Tina Tahiliani at Ensemble Lion’s Gate store to celebrate the iconic occasion and display their exclusive collections respectively.
The designers who have contributed to anniversary collection include Rohit Bal, Anamika Khanna, Tarun Tahiliani, Wendell Rodricks, Sabyasachi, Raghavendra Rathore, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Manish Arora, Gaurav Gupta, EDS(Ensemble Design Studio),Malini Ramani, Manish Malhotra, Varun Behl, to name a few.

Ensemble also screened a movie on this occasion for its guests, which showcased the journey of India’s first multi- designer store in India from 1987 to 2012.

The creme de la creme of the city were present to celebrate the 25 years of Ensemble. Among those who came by to congratulate Tina Tahiliani Parikh & Tarun Tahiliani on this exciting milestone were – Arjun Rampal, Mehr Rampal, Suzanne Roshan, Manish Malhotra, Surily Goel, Malini Ramani, Shefalee & Arjun Khanna, Lisa Haydon, Queenie Dhody, Bhavna Pandey, Anil & Sabina Chopra, Pratima & Gaurav Bhatia, Anu Dewan, Madhoo Shah, Kaykashen Patel, Laila & Ricky Lamba, Ramona Narang, Seema Mehrotra, Nina Manuel and Sharmila Khanna amongst the others.

Ensemble opened its doors to the public in December 1987 showcasing the work of five designers – Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Khosla, Neil Bieff, Amaya, Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla. Today 25 years later, managed by Executive Director Tina Tahiliani Parikh, Ensemble boasts the talents of over 12 leading designers supplemented with smaller collections from newer upcoming designers. With an impressive range of bridal and occasion-wear, to both classic and trendy western wear along with a selection of elegant accessories, Ensemble’s strength lies in its ability to spot and introduce new talent to its clientele and the industry at large.
This year is Ensemble’s 25th year of bringing high fashion to Indian as well as international fashion lovers worldwide. With the onset of third decade, Ensemble intends to bring a new, fresh outlook to the fashion industry with the emergence of fresh talent discovered here.
