CHAMOMILE UNVEILS SPRING SUMMER BY AM:PM AND BANSRI MEHTA

Vineet and Kanchan Dhingra’s multi designer store ‘Chamomile’ at Palladium, High Street Phoenix, in a short span has managed to carve out a niche for itself amongst the fashion afficionados of South Mumbai. The new spring summer collection is here to delight its patrons once again with exquisite creations by Ankur & Priyanka Modi of AM:PM and Bansri Mehta.

Whilst AM:PM presents spring colours dresses, jackets and kurtas that are delicately textured in pure fabrics, Bansri presents a vast range of funky Hair Accessories, Cocktail Jewellery, Diamante and Rosette Clutch bags. Both the collections make a stylish yet fun statement this Summer!

VIneet & Kanchan Dhingra along with Verve magazine hosted a Preview to unveil the new summer colelctions by AM PM and Bansri Mehta on Thursday 25th February 2010. Ankur Modi of AM PM was present with his muse Pooja Chopra who came dressed in a creation by Ankur Modi. Bansri Mehta’s accessories and jewels were beautifully displayed. Guests seen browsing and shopping included Namrata Baruah, Shunali Shroff, Tanya Gupta, Rashmi Nigam, Aditi Govitrikar, Pooja Advani Payal Singhal Tina Bajaj Jaya Raheja Shaheen Abbas Shweta Salve Priyanka Batra Malini Agarwalla Akanksha Nanda Radhika Ruia and even director Manish Acharya. While chocolate tarts and juices were circulated, Vineet & Kanchan Dhingra played the warm, gracious hosts ensuring all guests were well looked after.

Guests also enjoyed browsing through the attractively displayed issues of Verve magazine and all guests went home with a copy of the latest issue!

This Spring Summer the hosts draw inspiration from the transparent summer to create a collection that exudes style, elegance and pizzazz. Meditatively imbibed in its essence are fluidity, feminism and a frozen seduction, stirring the collection in an inexplicable trance. In tandem with the laidback silhouettes, the juiciest fabrics have been sourced and served. Chiffons, Satin-Georgettes, Silk Muls & Jerseys are swirled together to make for a soft, sensual, therapeutic mood.

Delicate prints, subdued embroidery, chic texturing and innocent styling make it that much more, plush. Gently diffused Ombres are used throughout to invoke a sense of calmness.
Draped harem pants are coupled with open shirts, long flowing jackets with soft shorts, dresses with scarves and chiefs. Seductively syruped in clear Ecrus, fresh Mangos, Oyster Greys, berry Purples and midnight Blacks, this collection gives a heightened sense of relaxation.
