Mumbai, January 14, 2009 – BIG 92.7 FM Mumbai, in keeping with the festivities this Makar Sankranti, organized kite flying experience at the Versova Beach. Hosted by breakfast jock Archana Jani, joining in the fun and flying kites were heart-throb Emraan Hashmi, director Mohit Suri and a host of kids from Dreamz Home. The event also saw listeners thronging the venue and exchanging the traditional til ladoos as they enjoyed the kite flying experience.
Keeping in mind the current vibe of recession, the Station aptly christened the on-air property – ‘Funkranti- Chinta ki patang kaat khushion ki Firki lappet’. The week saw listeners sharing their extremely ambitious dreams and plans, the best of which got a chance to be part of the kite flying event. Interesting fun filled on air content across shows was customized. The breakfast show hosted ‘Firki Liya’ –a mischievous prank call, ‘Tu Phenk main Lapetta hoon’-a segment in RJ Rishi’s show where a caller is taken on air and asked to bluff and Rishi lapetoes on his bluff creating a complete entertaining capsule for listeners and RJ Rohit’s Himmat Bhai finding ‘Kaun Chatt Pe Chadega?’.
The Music mix on that day was an exciting Funkranti Mix with up-tempo festive music across the day.
