Indian Pride goes the International way Reet Sahu – 1st Runner Up- Mrs India International 2012-13. Mrs. India International beauty pageant successfully hit the city of Georgia, USA on 25th may, 2012. Holding its mission, “to celebrate the achievements of today’s international Indian woman,” the pageant also provides an opportunity to voice social causes at a larger level.

The road leading towards the trophy underwent a selection procedure, comprising of a personal interview, Indian dress round, aerobic wear round, evening gown round and last but not the least, on stage question round. The first rule of competition says, “In order to win, you have to want it more”. Out of 50 participants, Reet Sahu, who voiced the cause of underprivileged girl child education attracted the shutters clicking and grasped the audience by her Grace. Reet, was crowned the First Runners up at Mrs. India International 2012. Also, she was bestowed upon, Mrs. Hyderabad International 2012 and was the choice of the Judges for segment award of Mrs. India – Ramp Walk International 2012 during the finals. Reet Sahu dazzled the ramp; embellished India and brought praise and applauds. With great perseverance, she successfully voices the cause internationally after her remarkable initiatives in India, and undoubtedly brings home pride along with well deserved respect and honor.
Reet Sahu, after the final results quipped, “My want, my faith and most importantly, my family’s trust helped me reach where I stand today.My husband’s persistent support,and encouragement gave me the wings. I feel short of words to express my happiness.”The pageant has proved to be a great platform like it has always been in putting forward beauty at its best and accomplishing the said objectives. It would also provide a larger canvas to my cause for the underprivileged girl child literacy and my dream of starting an NGO would finally come true.
“Compete once, live the experience forever!” expressed the Director Mrs. Adrita Khanna, in exhilaration. Reet looks forward in pursuing her career in front of the camera,which is a moral to the younger generation and sets an example in the society .
