Priya Dutt launches Ritika Sahni’s album NAMEE: Words Painted With Love at Infiniti Mall on March 3rd 2008. ‘Namee’ is a collection of original and contemporary songs by Ritika Sahni, releasing on Times Music. The album is produced by Ashish Manchanda and Ritika Sahni. ‘Namee’ is all about Love. It is the real life experience of seeking the touch of love, falling in the depth of the first sight of love, pining for the faraway love and nurturing the intimate feelings of being in love. Apart from being the singer, Ritika has also composed three songs for her album. ‘Namee’ comprises of eight beautiful songs including two music videos for the songs “Bheeni Bheeni” (co-written by Ritika), and Sundar Sundar (composed by Ritika.). The other songs are “More Ghar Aao Sajna“, “Saiyan Main Ab Hui Deewani“, “Jhoom Le, Tu Pyar Kar“, “Jab Rahon Mein Andhera Chaye” and “O Piya Mujhe Pyar Do.”
Ritika is a Complete Entertainer. She lives a life completely immersed and mingled with her art and talent. Her conviction in what she sings about has possibly evolved her as a woman of substance. Petite, pretty, and vivacious, Ritika always leaves a mesmerizing impression on her audience with her powerful voice, vibrant stage presence and an intriguing persona. A proficient singer gifted with a mellifluous voice, Ritika is A Gold Medalist, with a Masters in Music from Rabindra Bharati University , Kolkata.
The very popular “Tumse Mili Nazar” from the film “Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hun” or “Oh What A Babe” from the film “Rakht” or the remix “Yeh Raat Mein Jo Nasha hain” from the “Jalwa” series of Times Music are only a few of her noteworthy songs. She has many other solo albums to her credit in different languages. She is also an established producer in the area of creating original music albums for children.
Ritika is an active social worker as well as a disability activist, who holds the position of the secretary of a welfare trust called “TRINAYANI” which works towards creating awareness and sensitivity through short films and workshops on Disability issues amongst professionals and the general public.
