 
Mumbai, 19th September’08: Nisha JamVwal, design aficionado & Brand Consultant, Carlsberg India along with Pradeep Gidwani, MD, Carlsberg India and Ashrafi Matcheswala General Manager Taj Wellington Mews hosted a bespoke corporate soiree over exotic cocktails, an extraordinaire Mongolian grill dinner on the lawns of the Taj Wellington Mews.
The dress code said flamboyant and everyone adhered, with kaleidoscopic shirts and jewel colored gowns. For a change Bombay adhered to the eight pm invite and from the word go the evening was pulsating with energy. Actor Tanisha Mukherjee wore a stunning off shoulder dress while friend and model Akanksha Agarwal chose a bling white number. Parvez Damania kept to the theme with his tatoo’d jeans and bright orange shirt. Nisha received multitudinous compliments for her single shoulder multi layered cascading gown in pink organza and sea foam green.The ambience at the verdant lawns of Taj Wellington Mews was electric with a live band performing retro eighties, a master Mongolian chef displayed his culinary skills in a live cook-out under beautifully lit canopies and blue fairy lights and the hundred odd glass lanterns that adorned the trees, all created especially for the evening..
Nisha JamVwal, known as much for her design impetus as for her celebrity cocktail evenings, had put together a power evening with a difference when a mélange of personalities ranging from top corporate honchos, diplomats and consul generals, and the city’s crème de la crème came together for an evening that pulsated from the word go. What unfolded was an energized mix of the city’s top businessmen & famous names from the entertainment industry on the same platform with the globally acclaimed Carlsberg Beer being the catalyst for a mélange as such. As usual Carlsberg was a winner with everyone.
Those present were famed director Shyam Benegal with Nira Benegal of the Melli Mehta Foundation , actors Neena Gupta, Tulip Joshi; producer Soni Razdaan, US Consul General Paul and Juanita Folmsbee, Canadian Consul General Gary Luton, Spanish Consul General Ceaser Alba, French Consul General Fransciouse and wife Mayumi Pugale, Australian Consul General Peter Forby, Italian Consul General Fabio Rugge, Managing Director Taj Group Raymond Bickson with wife Connie Bickson, International architectural tycoon John Portman , Ashok Advani, Suresh and Meena Raheja, artist poet Imtiaz Dharkar, Fredrick Amoudreu CEO BNP Pariba with wife Corrine, Michael Newbill US Trade Consul, CEO Voltas Ashok Soni, managing director Sony Pictures Uday Singh, Shauna Chauhan & Bikram Saluja, Sascha Sippy , Surendra Hiranandani, Ketan Desai, yesteryear actor Bindu & champaklal zaveri, artist Jaideep meherotra with wife Seema, Riayadh Kundunmal & Alisha Chauhan Kundanmal were some of the people who enjoyed the ambience and stayed until the wee hours of the morning.
All in all the evening was a buoyant and pulsating get together without an agenda and just one motive – the love for Beer & Barbeque.
