The capsule collection is an introduction to the extended line of Satya Paul couture, to be launched later this year. In fact, ‘Couture Jeweller par Excellence’ PC Jeweller will be the only constant sight to behold as the stalwart will create a beautiful bridge between contemporary and archaism in the eagerly awaited fashion extravaganza to be held at Taj Palace Hotel on August 2, 2013.

New Delhi, 2 August, 2013: On the 3rd day of the fashion extravaganza PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013, the awfully talented Masaba Gupta emblazoned the models with the new Demi Couture collection coupled with beautiful ensembles by the leading brand PC Jeweller.
The jewellery donned on Masaba’s models had a mix of ‘Heavy Kundan Polki bridal sets’, ‘Diamond Solitaire collection’, ‘Temple jewellery in Antique gold’ and ‘Antique polish in Diamond Jewellery’. The collection contains necklace, pendants, armlets, kamar bands, maang teekas, juda and ‘Mumtaaz style Maang Teeka’. The jewellery collection creates an alluring blend of dazzling colored stones, pearls, diamonds and heavy kundan polki, adding the much sought glitter to the sight. PC Jeweller is the only couture jeweller for the PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013.

Satya Paul presents its first ever Demi Couture collection at the PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013. This capsule of 25 pieces is an introduction to the ‘Satya Paul Couture’ label and marks an important beginning for the brand.

Concept:
The word “demi” means “half,” so “demi-couture” literally means “half-couture”. In the elaborate sense, it refers to “half-custom-made women’s clothing”. The idea of this movement is to bridge the artistry of couture and the accessibility of ready-to-wear.

The Satya Paul Demi Couture Collection – which we call ‘a product of gorgeous chaos’ – is a down-to-earth approach to couture and explores an interesting combination of experimental silhouettes with textile fabrications, bursts of color, sheer textures and patchworked prints. Print is Satya Paul’s DNA and therefore, it remains the core of this offering as well, with embellishments used only to highlight textile fabrications.

Silhouettes:
The clothes are a marriage of romanticism and androgyny, giving a modern spin to exquisite classics. Tailcoat jackets are paired with lace shararas, flirtatious gowns are given high necklines and lapels, and the Saree is draped over a sheer jumpsuit.

Prints
Delicate renderings of florals have been x-rayed and skillfully engineered as prints on fabrics to give this collection a bold yet beautiful feel. The motifs of Daffodil, Rose, Iris, Lotus and Cosmos have been interpreted via various techniques and the botanical patterns have been patch-worked, embellished, cutout and recreated as lace along with other textile fabrications.

Fabrics
Diaphanous fabrics are draped over opaque innerwear for a ‘reveal and conceal’ effect. Airy organzas, lycra knits, georgettes and chiffons are used to give the wearer effortless movement.

Accessories
Reflecting the assortment’s theme of transparency, the accessories combine futuristic styling with intricate prints from the collection. The translucent trend continues with bag-in-bag box clutches, shopping bags and evening bags.
