Bridal Asia Fashion Celebration Day 1

Thursday, 16th September’09, New Delhi: Divya Gurwara (Founder, Bridal Asia) celebrates the 11th edition of Bridal Asia, one of the biggest Bridal expositions in the country. Bridal Asia unveiled this seasons bridla trends with a glittering fashion show hosted on 16th September at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The designers showcasing their Bridal Asia collection are some of india’s best : Rina Dhaka, Gaurav Gupta, Falguni & Shane Peacock and Ritu Beri and jewelry by Nemichand Bamalwa & Sons (NCB).

Bridal Asia 2009, Asia’s biggest exposition for all bridal finery, apparel and products brings the finest of the fine under one roof, setting the tone of thematic shows in the country. With new innovations and styles catering to the Rs.1,25,000-crore wedding industry, this grand event brings to you beautiful creations from designers across the country and even from Pakistan, Bangladesh etc.

The Bridal Asia Fashion Show flags off this seasons biggest bridal extravaganza and is sure to set fashion trends for brides and grooms not only across India but for the entire subcontinent.

About the Collections:
Rina Dhaka’s resplendent collection at Bridal Asia 2009, Rina will be making use of tribal embroideries, chikankari, broiderie anglais, crochet work, patch work, paisley, digital prints, sequin embroideries, lace and mirror work, her each piece is romantically feminine suitable for cuppa coffee to cocktail. Reincarnating India’s celebrated heritage, her collection comprises of multifaceted designs for which she draws inspiration from intricate decorated walls to murals of Rajasthani havelis.

The Gaurav Gupta’s Indian couture collection has always given a contemporary, yet couture centric definition to the genre. In many ways it has redefined, what was the staid traditional approach to bridal wear in India. In this collection the designer has pushed the modern boundaries of contemporized design aesthetics, while re-emphasizing the bridal affluence & gracefulness.

This is a defining range of regal and sophisticated designs that interpret India’s wealth and heritage in a modern language. The intricacy of thought behind three dimensional embroideries, peacocks and lotuses that seem alive, architectural organza flowers replete with colours of royal legacies like deep purples, brass gold and mango yellow set the collection apart from perceived ideas of Indian Couture. Lehangas and sarees are designed to reflect a larger than life grandeur that elevates the entire mood of the occasion. Each piece is a careful carving in the modern tradition the brand is creating as it grows. Falguni & Shane Peacock love to dress their woman in ultra-feminine and glamorous clothes . The brand is synonymous to high Luxury prêt, resort and eveningwear. The Peacock label focuses on dresses that are dreamy, romantic, youthful with a strong sense of colour, dramatic and makes a style statement. They like to wrap the female form with fluid silks that blend into animal prints with complex textures in few words slick, chic and glamorous. Embroidery is an integral part of peacock couture it is used lavishly and often incorporates gems and crystals into the extravagant use of diamantes to accentuate necklines with feathers and semiprecious stones.
