Leading Dubai Fashion House Splash Showcase

Splash, the leading Dubai based fashion house showcased three talented and upcoming designers at the emerging designers show. Buffi Jashanmal, Jasbir Jamani, Krikor Jabotian

Buffi Jashanmal
Under her label Quiet Riot Buffi created a cheeky collection with neon and pop colours and varied prints. Her inspiration was the dark side of New York and the young designer used jerseys, satin, twill and poplin for the fun line. From polka dot dresses in black and white, cotton circle tops in floral prints and funky leggings, it was just perfect for a child woman, a girl who is young at heart with a never-say-die attitude. The interesting accessories complemented the pieces. An Avant Garde yet playful line from the Dubai based designer.

Jasbir Jamani
A straight forward collection with a focus just on corsets, Jasbir went back to her love for the elegant garment. The designer worked with stretch fabrics and georgettes for her dresses and the corsets were designed in brocade. The emphasis was on the body, as corsets not only enhance the different body types but also lend that graceful look. Bold and fun, the collection is just right for a confident yet feminine woman.

Krikor Jabotian
The young designer’s theme for his line was ‘A Deadly Marriage’ and he worked with muslin, lace and silk fabrics. Layering was the highlight of the line with innovative draping techniques and knots on the backside of the outfits. The Lebanese designer used colours like black, champagne and off-white to create a dramatic yet romantic collection with sensual overtones.
