PRIYADARSHINI RAO’S NEW LABEL “MINERAL” WAS A BREEZY COOL COMFORTABLE COLLECTION FOR SUMMER/RESORT 2011. So her new “Mineral” label for Summer/Resort 2011 at Lakmé Fashion Week will surely take the market by storm. Aimed at the modern woman who appreciates stylish but simple clothes, the “Mineral” collection constructed from natural fabrics in western silhouettes had a versatile effortless look.

Priyadarshini’s line was worked around a fresh colour chart of white, indigo, oyster pink, beige and charcoal with large doses of lime sorbet, candy and turquoise. For her interesting label Priyadarshini showed a range of cool blouses, linen lounge pants, over shirts dresses, shorts, pinafores and innovative shirts. Light as a summer breeze the outfits sailed down the catwalk with printed pinafores, basic white blouses with a variety of lace detailing or tiny bows, peasant dresses with sheer insets, lots of handkerchief hemlines for skirts and dresses, a variety of simple trousers, minis with piping and pleating details, ruffled blouses, indigo blousons with flared skirts, bubble overalls, jersey tops with dolman sleeves, relaxed drop crotch checked wide harem pants, bias cut long printed and coloured maxis and the final pink candy printed puff sleeved tiered gown all coming together seamlessly for a perfect relaxed wardrobe that could move effortlessly from casual wear to options for formal summer nights.
