Udita Goswami, Sofia Hayat, Achala Sachdev, Lucky Morani, Pankaj Udhas, Meghna Malik , Shaina NC, Gaurav Chopra at Navy Ball 2011 on 6th Dec 2011. The night was velvet black, the stars shone down in all its glory…the stage was set, and the Men in White turned up in all their sartorial brilliance as the Navy Ball, 2011 turned out be more than a memorable evening for all those present! Conceptualised and created byMohomed Morani; the Navy Ball, 2011 exceeded all expectations as it gave everyone a reason to celebrate and cheer.

The Navy Queen Pageant turned out to be a rousing success; what with the charming and confident contestants wowing the expert panel of judges and the eagerly expectant audiences alike. The effervescent Lucky Morani was the brains behind the entire Pageant as not only did she assemble a fantastic panel of grooming experts that included industry big wigs like Choreographer Achla Sachdev, Fitness Guru Micky Mehta, Speech and Diction Expert Raell Padamsee but she also served as the Fashion and Styling Expert on the Grooming Panel and as one of the judges. Dressed in an elegant emerald green Swapnil Shinde gown, Lucky Morani was the picture of perfection as she took her place as one of the 6 judges. Swapnil Shinde was also the man behind the gorgeous ensembles worn by all the contestants as they strutted their stuff on the imposing ramp amidst much fanfare and support. The others who had the privilege of judging the prestigious event were Shaina NC, Gaurav Chopra, Siddharth Shukla, Udita Goswami and the lovely wife of the Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C), Mrs. Joshi. The emcees for the evening who enthralled the audiences with their crackling chemistry and wit were Manish Paul and the beautiful Shibani Dandekar. Also seen were Sophia Hayat and Gazal Maestro Pankaj Udhas in attendance, enjoying the unique atmosphere to the hilt.

After the breathtaking developments of the Navy Queen Pageant, the focus soon turned to the dance floor as the C-in-C opened the proceedings with the customary dance with the Navy Queen. The cheering and enthusiastic crowds soon joined in the celebration as they danced into the night to some superb music; first from Darren Das and his band and then India’s supermodel celebrity DJ, the uber hot and talented Megha Kawale. Food, drinks and revelry flowed through the evening; as the Men in White congregated on the grandest annual platform of the year – the Navy Ball, 2011 – to make it one for the ages! A wonderful evening resplendent with fun, frolic, exhilaration and elation……
