Teena turner! A top director attached to one of the biggest production houses in the country mistook actress Teena Singh to be Tina Bhatia- or make that Twinkle Khanna. Teena who was the runner up in the Musafir item hunt a couple fo years ago, had gone off to New Delhi to finish her MBA and then picked up a job in a bank hakin to what Soha Ali Khan did.
If one notices, Teena looks like Twinkle in some of her pictures. A closer look for the director revealed that it wasn’t Twinkle, but nevertheless he has promised to meet and audition Teena for his next project for the production house. Teena Singh is currently busy with multiple fashion shows across the country.

Aamir Khan

Padhye was shocked to see Aamir’s reaction on meeting him. Aamir said,

“It’s lovely meeting you again”

even though it was the first time they were meeting. He later found out that Aamir used to watch his show on Doordarshan, Meri Bhi Suno, regularly. Aamir couldn’t remember the puppet’s name but was very excited when Padhye brought it along with him one day and kept staring at it excitedly.

It was tough for Aamir to suddenly start talking in a false voice. So, Aamir was asked to try and observe Padhye and pick up his body language to be able to perform with the puppet better.

Sohail Khan

Sohail was wearing a blue T-shirt which said, “Player”. Abbas Mustan came up to him and casually said that they were planning to make a film with the title ‘Player’ and had recently got it registered under their banner.

They joked that if Sohail wore the T-shirt, someone may take the title and make their own film on it. Sohail then took off his T-shirt and handed it to them, after which he summoned a waiter and asked him to take off his shirt.

The stunned waiter obeyed Sohail and the latter was seen in the waiter’s shirt till the end of the party.

The incident was confirmed by Mustan.

He is a director who brings out experimental but commercial films. Speaking on the occasion, the director says,

“I prepared the story of ‘Traffic Jam’ with a lot of personal interest. The story is taking celluloid shape now. I am confident that this film would remain another milestone in my film career. Moreover, the film is coming out from a famed production house like Aditya Productions and I am very happy to direct this film.”

Producer says,

“After a great film like ‘Sri Ramadasu’, our production house is presenting this film. We are sure that the film would enhance the prestige of our banner further.”

One more interesting point to note here is that the director chose Allari Naresh as the hero of the movie. Dialogues are by JK Bharavi. Stay glued for more details about artistes and technicians.

The audio of the film was launched at a function in Hyderabad. Producer Lagadapati Sridhar unveiled the audio and gave away the first piece to Malaysia tourism minister Sundaram. Mahesh Shankar scored music for the movie.

Speaking on the occasion, Raja says,

“What are the changes that occurred in the lives of a group of friends after a gap of seven years after the completion of their college studies is the subject of the movie. Suman Pathuri moulded the film in an impressive manner. Very soon, I am turning a producer and my first film would be directed by the same director. The producer of the film is a software expert but he left that business as he had a passion to make films.”

Director Suman says,

“Mahesh Shankar’s music would be a highlight of the movie.”

Mahesh Bhatt

The film, Tum Mile, which is based on a love story with the 2005 Mumbai flood setting, had to have 10 minutes of flood scenes chopped off to impress Mahesh Bhatt. According to Bhatt, the film didn’t turn out the way director Kunal Deshmukh had imagined it.

While Kunal was against cutting the scenes, he felt that the film did flow better after the scenes were chopped off. Bhatt wanted to focus more on the love story than the flood and edited the scenes so that viewers like it more.

Ranbir Kapoor

There have been rumours for quite some time now about Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali working together on a film together. However Ranbir denies signing any film with Imtiaz. He says he is very keen to work with the director but hasn’t got an offer yet, even though Imtiaz has expressed a desire to work with him as well.

Ranbir admits to have met Imtiaz many times and thinks that the director makes a film only when he’s sure of the story and then casts actors that match the story. He also feels that Imtiaz has a simple philosophy as opposed to what people think about him.

Ami Trivedi

“She has recently signed the contract and the shooting of the show is also started. The show should be going on air in this month but the dates are yet to be fixed,”

Elaborating about the show our source quips,

“It’s going to be a family comedy drama for sure but the channel has given strict warning to everyone of revealing anything. The audience will see many know faces in the serial too.”

“Sukriti Khandpal, Sumeet Raghvan, Tiku Talsaniya, Apra Mehta are few to be named. Ami is the recent one to join the family,”

Elaborating on the on-set fun, Harsha aka Rajshri of the show informs,

“We have lots of fun and masti on the sets. Actually speaking the whole cast and crew teases me for my habit of saying, oh! Baba on whatever wrong happens with me. On other side my on screen character is very gharelu type. So Adi (Manish) calls me ’set ki pujaran’ and this is very annoying.”

“Adi had also tittle tattle something to the whole unit about my habit of saying, oh! Baba and the moment I utter those words, the whole unit starts laughing at me. I don’t know what he has told to every one as its still a mystery for me,”

actress quips.

Don’t be under impression that Harsha is simple girl and Manish is very naughty guy.

“But truly speaking I am also not less than him because even I call him as ’set ka baba’ and the reason will always be with me and only me because even he is not aware of it (laugh),”

Rajshri concludes.

Well that’s true that not only boys are naughty but also girls. That’s why it is said dikhave pe mat jao apni akal lagao!

About 20 films have been short listed for the festival. The director is very excited about this development and hopes that this way it would appeal to the different audiences that will be present at the festival.

“To be frank I didn’t think that I could do comedy. I had just participated in one show in Kolkata for Laughter Challenge as my Hindi is also a bit problem,”

states Tina.

But now the actress is much confident about her acts in the show.

“After my first episode in CC, I received many compliments that gave boost to my assurance level. Anyways this is a good change for me and the EP of the show has shown the faith which was also a great support,”

she adds further.

Which show is closer for you CC or Uttaran?

“Uttaran is like a family where I can be my self when not shooting. CC is a refreshing change and it’s a challenge for me that I have accepted it in a good spirit. So both are very important for me,”

she verbalises.

How does the lady juggle between the two shows?

“I get very less time for the rehearsal as my timings for the shoot for Uttaran is from morning 8 to night 10. This does create problem for my co-star but they are really very nice as when ever I call them for the practice, they leave everything and come,”
