Word condom a taboo in movies? Ask Censor Board
Censor board seems to get notorious for the use of their scissors. This time the movie Hello took the brunt of their scissors, for the use of the word condom in the dialogue delivered by Gul Panag. The scene involved Gul and Sharman Joshi, who are about to carry out the love marking act and Gul asks Sharman if he is carrying a condom.
The Censor board was not too happy about it and decided to snip off the scene though they did not object to love making act being carried out. So much so for all those ads on the television and other medium of advts where they show the need for a condom and the importance of its use!
Gul was thoroughly angered and argued about the need for that word in the dialogue and it was a ridiculous act on part of the Censor board to chop off tht word from the dialogue. She retorted that the board is showing double standards by its decision and this act.
