Lindsay Lohan, who has recently finished her stint in a rehabilitation centre, turned down musician Max George’s offer to go for a party, reveals her father Michael Lohan. The 27-year-old finished her 90-day court ordered rehab stint July 30, and just days later met Max and his The Wanted bandmates for a wild party here. But Lohan’s father Michael says the actress wasn’t drinking and even refused a trip away with George in case it damaged her sobriety. “To begin with, Lindsay was asked to go out of town with Max and she thought it was a bad idea. I spoke to people with her who said she did not drink and I even spoke to her and she was absolutely fine,” said Michael.
A representative of the actress confirmed that she visited Max at The Mondrian hotel, but it is thought she remained sober, as she has been since leaving rehab. Lohan has now moved to New York City, and has been following advice given to her by talk show host Oprah Winfrey, who believes she’s finally beaten her demons. Winfrey had said: “I thought that she’s in the best place that I’ve ever seen her. I believe that she believes that she is now ready. And she admitted that there were other times when she was pretending to be ready and not quite sure. And sometimes resentful that she was being, you know, put in a position where she had to go to rehab. I think this is the first time I could see it really benefited her,” said Winfrey.

Alec Baldwin is in talks to return to primetime TV with MSNBC’s new show. The weekly program will feature a large dose of Baldwin’s outspoken liberal politics, reported Ace Showbiz. However, a representative for the Emmy Award and Golden Globe-winning actor refuses to comment on the matter. Baldwin, 55, has been considered a talk show host contender with his name surfacing as a possible addition to NBC’s late-night line-up. The expectant father has had a long history with the NBC family. He starred on the network’s “30 Rock” for seven seasons and has hosted “Saturday Night Live” 16 times.
Liam Hemsworth says Twitter “scares the hell” out of him. The “Paranoia” actor, who recently joined the microblogging site, admits he has no plans to share details of his personal life via the medium because he wants to maintain his privacy. “On Twitter, I don’t share anything personal. I try to keep as much of my personal life to myself, and I don’t feel the need to go out and show the world what’s happening in my life every second, I think it’s a good chance to connect with fans in a different way and give fans an inside look on films that you do. But it’s very new to me and it scares the hell out of me,” said Hemsworth.
The 23-year-old, who is engaged to pop star Miley Cyrus, recently said that he finds sex scenes “scary” and said filming bedroom scenes with actor Johnny Depp’s girlfriend Amber Heard for “Paranoia” was rather daunting because of all the crew members on set. “Intimate scenes are always pretty scary. Being intimate with someone in front of a lot of people, it’s hard to let go and be free in the scene,” he said. The actor also said that the film’s cast and crew pulled a prank on him while shooting the steamy scenes. “I get into the bed and they say, ‘Action’. Then, I turn over and I grab what I thought was Amber’s arm and it was a giant (sex toy). It was big … a black one. I pulled it out and everyone was in on (the joke) except me,” added Hemsworth.
Matt Damon says he was always grumpy on the set of ‘Elysium’ because he was on a strict diet to stay in shape. The 42-year-old underwent a tough fitness regime and followed a strict diet plan to get in shape for the movie, directed by Neill Blomkamp. He admits giving up treats left him angry and unapproachable. “I was grumpy on this set, because I was on a diet for the whole movie. I think I shut up a little bit and keep to myself, It’s not even that it was as extreme as diets I’ve done before, but it’s like, at my age, I want to eat everything in my path, you know what I mean? I think I’ve become more of a glutton. It was really hard because I love to eat and I love to drink,” said Damon.
Designer Nicholas Kirkwood has teamed up with the British Fashion Council (BFC) to design the London Fashion Week (LFW) campaign for the spring-summer 2014 edition. Kirkwood’s geometric forms and architecturally inspired pieces have been adapted using his signature chevron pattern to create a strong visual identity for the event, to be held in September. “It’s a great privilege to be able to team up with the BFC on this exciting project and apply my interpretation to the London Fashion Week campaign, I’ve taken elements of my work and designed a pattern that I feel reflects the bold nature and energy of London Fashion Week,” he said.
