Mahesh Bhatt plans a film about Grover’s gory murder
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is planning another ‘real-life’ movie, this time inspired by the gory murder of a young creative head of a TV production house allegedly by an actor and her naval officer boyfriend. The film, Bhatt says, will explore the collapse of value system in the country through the eyes of a police officer who cracks the murder mystery.
Grover, creative head of Synergy Adlabs, was allegedly killed by film actress Marrayya Monica Susayraj (27) and her boyfriend Lt M L Jerome Mathew (25). His body was then chopped into pieces by the two.
Mumbai’s joint commissioner of police (crime), Mr. Rakesh Maria cracked the case. Bhatt and his script-writer Shagufta Rafique have already met him to get into details. “This film will tell the story through the eyes of a police officer, Maria who cracked the real life case. We will try to explore the collapse of the value system and family system through our film,” Bhatt told reporters. Already working on the script, Rafique said, “We are neither trying to sensationalise the murder nor make a documentary out of it. The film will explore the reasons as to what led to this tragic end of three young, educated people.”
