Bandra residents have penchant for ordering healthy dishes: Survey

People in Bandra favour healthy dishes when ordering food, reveals a survey.

According to a survey by a food app GORB, 19 per cent of all the vegetarian dish orders come from central Mumbai.

Furthermore, 75 per cent of the dishes ordered in these areas run high on mushroom and cottage cheese.

Bandra has a penchant for ordering healthy dishes as 16 per cent of all vegetarian delicacies in the ‘health’ category get ordered from here.

The research is based on internal GORB data with five lakh users who have ordered on GORB between July 2016 and January 2017, read a statement on behalf of the app.

The study also reveals that consumers from Grant Road, Kanjurmarg and Mumbai Central love fish as 26 per cent of all fish delicacies were ordered from these areas.

Interestingly, 56 per cent of the orders from men between the age of 21 and 29 were non-vegetarian, while 29 per cent of vegetarian food ordered from Prabhadevi, Sion and Mahim were ordered by men over 35 years of age.

Piyush Sharma, CEO of GORB, said: “The findings are helping us to understand and evaluate the consumption pattern in Mumbai. We look forward to reaching to more consumers in the upcoming months.”
