Actor Sharman Joshi, who will be seen playing a police officer in upcoming movie “Wajah Tum Ho”, says his favourite onscreen cop is megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

“My favourite onscreen cop is Mr Bachchan. His dialogues as a cop are deadly. But I haven’t taken any reference for playing this character in ‘Wajah Tum Ho’,” Sharman said here.

“Vishal (director Vishal Pandya) used to share some nuances for this particular character. So I added my instincts with his inputs,” he added.

Sharman has worked with Pandya in “Hate Story 3”.

“When he offered me an unusual role again with ‘Wajah Tum Ho’, I was happy. I am grateful to Bhushan (Kumar) and Vishal,” he said.

“Wajah Tum Ho” is an erotic thriller that also features Sana Khan and Gurmeet Choudhary. It will release on December 2.

Alia a sensible, grounded girl, says Ira Dubey

Actress Ira Dubey says her “Dear Zindagi” co-actor Alia Bhatt is sensible and grounded despite the fame she enjoys.

Ira is a skilled actress given her theatre experience.

Asked about her experience of working with a young actress like Alia, Ira said: “I was very impressed with Alia from the first day itself. My mother (Lillete Dubey) used to tell me that when she met Alia, she was three or four years old.

“She always said she wanted to be a star. So she has that star aura in her attitude and personality. You can see what Alia takes to be a star. But at the same time, what I really liked about her that she is a very grounded and sensible girl.”

Alia is all of 23, but she has already found fame with the variety of roles she has portrayed on the big screen in films like “Student of the Year”, “Highway” and “Udta Punjab“.

Appreciating that, Ira said: “She is just 23 and she has her whole career ahead of her. She has already made some very smart choices. The kind of work she has done, I also strive for it. As actors, we don’t want to be typecast.”
