Singer Chris Brown was arrested on Tuesday after a woman claimed that he threatened her with a gun, police said.
“Brown is going to be transported where he will be arrested for ADW – assault with a deadly weapon,” Lt. Chris Ramirez of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) told reporters, NBC News reported.
The unidentified woman reported the incident to police, saying 27-year-old Brown pointed the gun at her before she left his gated estate in the Los Angeles enclave of Tarzana, law enforcement sources told NBC News.
“The investigation is still ongoing,” Ramirez said.
Ramirez said he couldn’t comment on whether any weapons were found at the home because the search was ongoing.
Brown, who has previously pleaded guilty to a felony assault, had refused to come out of his home and talk with officers.
Ramirez said Brown was later cooperative with the detectives.
