Actress Emilia Clarke has spent $4.64 million to buy a new home in Venice, a beachfront neighbourhood in California.

Clarke, who was born and brought up in Berkshire, south east England and plays Daenerys Targaryen in popular American fantasy drama TV series “Game of Thrones”, has bought the new house to live in during her increasingly frequent US work commitments, reports dailymail.co.uk.

According to Forbes magazine, the property features soaring ceilings and a huge bookcase which could be useful for storing all of George R.R. Martin’s tomes.

Clarke’s new home in the beachside community boasts two bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as a 30 ft pool. The property was built in 2009 and is spread across 2,817 sq ft.
