Luxury brand Good Earth has associated with Asian Paints to introduce a new vertical of luxury wall coverings called Silk Route.

Good Earth introduced the new vertical in association with Asian Paints through Nilaya — the luxury wall covering line from Asian Paints.

The foray of the design house into a new vertical is part of the brand’s vision to take the Enchanted India offering to a wider audience constituting the Indian market and the diaspora as well as discerning international shoppers, read a statement.

Three evocative themes — Charbagh, Palmyra and Xanadu — and 17 designs, all carefully curated by Anita Lal, Pavitra Rajaram and Asha Madan of Good Earth, promise to take one through Mughal gardens, balmy Mandalay groves, the floral paradise of the islands of the Indian Ocean and magical Chinoiserie scenes.

Talking about the inspiration behind the designs, Lal said: “Over the years, Good Earth collections have reflected our view of an Enchanted India which is an amalgamation of eclectic influences and the assimilation of indigenous and Asian cultures over millennia. The Silk Route collection is a tactile representation of the same and offers yet another medium to add joy to your daily life.”

Silk Route comes to life with natural dyes and some cases, hand cut rollers have been used to transpose patterns onto natural feel paper which glint with subtle glimmers of gold and silver.

The Silk Route collection will be retailed both domestically and internationally. In India, the wallpapers will be available at Good Earth and Nilaya Asian Paints salons in Mumbai (Raghuvanshi Mills, Lower Parel), New Delhi, and Chennai. The wallpapers will also be available at the web boutique, www.goodearth.in and at the Asian Paints Signature stores in Mumbai and New Delhi.
