Life is a rainbow, says Gauri Shinde (Movie Snippets)

Director Gauri Shinde, whose forthcoming project is “Dear Zindagi”, feels life is all about experiences and making connections.

“It’s just so exciting, especially as young people or actually at any age, to be able to have so many life experiences and make connections with so many people and enjoy them and learn from them. Life is a rainbow,” Shinde said in a statement.

Instead of coming out with a trailer, Shinde opted for a new way with several teasers giving a sneak peek into the story one by one.

With every new revelation — be it as a tweet, poster, video or song — “Dear Zindagi” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt is delighting cine-goers with its simplicity and freshness.

“Dear Zindagi” is a collaboration of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Hope Productions. The film is slated to hit the cinemas on November 25.

Vishal Dadlani’s OCD troubles

Bollywood music composer Vishal Dadlani doesn’t know how to eat with his hands because of obsessive-compulsive disorder. He says he washes his hands at least 50 times a day.

Dadlani, one half of the popular music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar, spoke about his OCD problem with actress Neha Dhupia during an episode of her audio talk show “#NoFilterNeha”, read a statement.

“I can’t eat with my hands — I have a sticky hands problem. I wash my hands 50 times a day. Eating dal-chawal like that (with hands) freaks me out. There is no way I can do that. I have tried though,” Dadlani told Neha.

“Also I don’t have the skills because I make a morsel of food and I aim it at my mouth but it ends up in my eye. Motor skills apart, I cannot do it because I cannot have sticky hands. Sanitizer is worse because its fake. I need wash and soap and I need that doctor wash — I have actually learned how to do that from a doctor.”

What impressed R. Madhavan in Japan’

Actor R. Madhavan is impressed with the cleanliness and the discipline with which the people of Japan maintain the Bullet train.

Madhavan flew to Japan along with his wife and child Vedant for the special screening of his movie “Irudhi Suttru” (Tamil version of “Saala Khadoos”) at the Tokyo International Film Festival recently.

During his stay in Japan, Madhavan planned a special surprise for wife Sarita by taking her for the ride on the Bullet train ‘Shinkansen’ to Kyoto and also treated her to a traditional Japanese dinner at the Mifune restaurant.

“This train is so fast. Every time a train goes to the opposite direction, you can feel both the trains kind of split apart and lean on opposite sides of the track. It’s very frightening but at the same time, extra-ordinary technology and I’m very impressed with the cleanliness and the discipline with which they have maintained and run it. It’s in a different league altogether,” Madhavan said in a statement.

“Irudhi Suttru”, directed by Sudha Kongara, was screened in the World Focus Section. The festival was held from October 25 to November 3.
