“Ghostbusters” director Paul Feig and his wife Laurie have wished Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on his 51st birthday.
Paul, who has also helmed films like “The Heat” and “Spy”, on Wednesday took to Twitter to wish the “amazing” Shah Rukh.
“Happy Birthday to our friend, the amazing Shah Rukh Khan! May your day be filled with laughter, music and cake. Lots of cake. Oh, and fries too,” Paul wrote.
Paul’s wife Laurie also wished the “Happy New Year” star.
“Good morning India, it is Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday! Hoping your day is as sunny and glorious as his. Wishing him health, happiness always. Thrills, king,” she tweeted.
In an interview earlier, the Hollywood director had told IANS that he “would love” to make a film with the Indian superstar.
The director also shared that Laurie is a “Bollywood fanatic” and a big fan of Shah Rukh, who has spent over two decades in filmdom.
Back in May, when Shah Rukh hosted a star-studded dinner party for Apple CEO Tim Cook, Feig’s wife had tweeted: “Some day I hope Paul Feig can be welcome at Mannat! Dream, Shah Rukh Khan.”
Shah Rukh had then invited the couple over for a meal. The “Spy” director had then responded: “You’re on, Shah Rukh Khan! I’ll bring the ketchup. It would be an honour to meet you. Many thanks, my friend.”
