Shoojit Sircar keen on making a love story in future

Published on

Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, who is popular for making slice-of-life and hard-hitting films, says he has plans for making a romantic drama movie in the future.

“I don’t need to convince myself whether I will do a love story. If I get a chance, I will definitely jump into making it. I have a plan of making a romantic film very soon but will announce it later,” Sircar said at a media interaction.

However, the “Piku” director said making hard-hitting films comes easier to him than a love story.

“Emotion is a sensitive thing and you need to be careful when you display the purity of a relationship onscreen,” he added.

Asked who he wants to cast in the film, Sircar said: “Like Ranbir Kapoor or Varun Dhawan, Deepika or Alia. I want to work with all of them.”

The filmmaker, who is riding high on the success of his latest release “Pink”, said he is overwhelmed with the love the film has received.

“‘No means No’ this line was so powerful and people have accepted that fact. I consider my film as a hit when people accept it wholeheartedly and not just in terms of money. ‘Pink’ is very special for me. It’s unbelievable that ‘Pink’ is running in theatre and going to be premiered in Television at the same time,” he said.
