Aayirathil Oruvan a mix of Indiana Jones and Magadheera

Published on

The entire city of Chennai was dotted with the banners and posters of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, as the film’s teaser and visual songs were launched yesterday. Padma Shree Kamal Haasan and actor Surya were present to launch the film’s trailer.

Ever since then speculations are rife on the plot outline of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, which are neither confirmed nor denied by the production house.

Apparently the story goes, that a couple of archeologists (Reema Sen and Andrea) are set on a journey of unraveling the palace and properties of Chola Dynasty that was buried centuries ago, along with a deep secret. Since, it isn’t an easy deal to pass through the unknown lands and forests, they get in touch with a coolie (Karthi), who guides them. With the journey filled with fun, frolic and adventure, the story takes a sudden twist with the flashback exposing the gruesome end of Chola dynasty ruled by a King (Parthiban).

But then, the missing link between the Chola dynasty and present generation is connected with the fact Karthi himself is the reincarnated being of Parthiban, while Reema Sen and Andrea were his queens in previous avatar.

Well sounds interesting, isn’t? But when we approached the crew of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ regarding this outline, they denied it emphatically stating that the storyline is completely different from this one.

Nonetheless, other reports have come up with statements that the film will be much similar to adventurous film ‘Indiana Jones’ (treasure hunt) and Telugu movie ‘Magadheera’ (reincarnated characters meeting again)…
