December 13, 2010 : Actress Daisy Bopanna’s Bollywood career never looked very appealing as a result of which she went back to acting in South Indian ventures after her Bollywood appearance in the Priyadarshan film Garam Masala. However, Daisy Bopanna was also absent from action from South Indian movies for quite some time now. But if media reports are to be believed, the actress who is famously called ‘Spicy Daisy’ down south, is back in a new avatar.
When quizzed on where she was in spite of her last film ‘Gaalipata’ doing well at the box office, Daisy Bopanna says that she had taken the time off to get back in shape. The actress said in a statement to the media that she was overweight by at least 13 kilos at the time of filming ‘Gaalipata’ and felt that her looks did not do justice to the roles being offered to her and that was why she felt the need of a break in her career. So does that mean that Spicy Daisy will spice things up in her upcoming flicks? Unfortunately for her fans, Daisy Bopanna is not ready to do only skin shows in the second phase of her career. Though the actress still wants to be a part of commercial cinema, she does not want to do a film which does not showcase the talents she had acquired during her stint as a theater actor.
Though Daisy Bopanna comes back to filmdom with a Sandalwood project, she will be based in Mumbai, from where we hope the revamped actress will get offers in Bollywood as well!
