Film festival on spirituality
Students Islamic Organization (SIO), an ideological wing for the students in Jamaat-e-Islami, has organized a three-day international film festival. The festival will be held at the Kalpala Auditorium, Kozhikode from 21st of November. Films and documentaries that centre on secularism, family, relationships and spiritual quest will be screened.
Half Moon, an award-winning Iranian film by Kurdish filmmaker Bahman Ghobadi, Le Grand Voyage by Ismail Farouk, 400 Blows by Francois Truffaut, Iraq in Fragments by James Longley, Amu by Shonali Basu will also be screened in the festival, another highlight of which is a contest on campus films.
