KAADALIL VIZHUNTHEN: a boring action flick

KAADALIL VIZHUNTHEN (I fell in love) deserves to be parodied as “fallen” period. The movie is a killing guillotine of boring gore. A slum kid Sabha (Nakul) is nursed back to health after an accident by a rich girl (Sunaina). Sabha turns crazy after the rich girl’s death and refuses to accept it despite being saddled with her corpse.

Film: KAADALIL VIZHUNTHEN
Cast: Nakul, Sunaina, Hariraj, Livingston, Sampath
Director: P.V. Prasad
Music: Vijay Anthony
Cinematography: Vijay Milton
Rating: 0.5/5
Language: Tamil

He goes on a killing spree before ending his life in the climax after being chased by a cop (Sampath) who seems to have nothing else to do. The film’s only plus points are Vijay Anthony’s music and Vijay Milton’s camera work.

But “Nakku Mokku” - the film’s most popular song is shifted to the far end much to the chagrin of the audience. Vijay Milton’s cinematography flatters Puducherry and Ooty (Tamil Nadu) locales in beautiful frames.

Nakul, known to Tamil cinema for his plump and cute looks, has morphed into a handsome man and attempts gamely to breathe life into a script dead as a dodo. Sunaina’s performance and looks trigger hope for resurrection of her career despite playing a corpse in almost half the movie.

The rest of the cast deserve to be ignored.
