Actor Madhavan had completed filming for ‘Naan Aval Adhu’ a long time ago. Perhaps, the film’s release was delayed due to financial constraints. More than that, Madhavan refused to dub his voice, as producer of the film failed to credit his pending remuneration of Rs.65 Lakhs. Finally, with the intervention of Tamil Nadu Producers Council, the issue was sorted out.
Now, the film is slated to hit the screens on August 14, but the centers of release are yet to be confirmed. ‘Naan Aval Adhu’ is a remake of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Darling’ featuring Maddy, Sadha and Bollywood actress Shamitha Shetty in lead roles. Earlier, Ram Gopal Varma himself was supposed to direct the film but due to some difference of opinion with Maddy, he backed off.
Later, Kona Venkat approached Madhavan with some modifications in the script and the project started-off.
