Director Shafi’s Chattambinadu, starring megastar Mammootty will start shooting on September 9 at Pollachi.
This is Mammootty’s third time working with Shafi. The duo earlier teamed up for the successful Mayavi and Thommanum Makkalum. Produced by Mammootty’s Play House, Chattambinadu is a comedy-based action thriller where Mammootty will play Veerendra Mallaya, a Karnataka-based Malayalee estate owner with a Kannada accent. The highlight of the film will be his characteristic traits and accent. Benny P. Nayarambalam has scripted the film. Lakshmi Rai is the lead actress. Mukesh will be seen in an important role.
