Rajinikanth will be the don in Kabali

Published on

With only days to go before Kabali releases, it is worth mentioning that Rajinikanth recently said if he wasn’t an actor, he would have been a gangster.

The blast effect from his role in Baasha hasn’t settled yet and now he is playing a gangster in Kabali. The character is based on P Kalimuthu, a real life gangster known as Bentong Kali.

He was a part of the Chinese Triads and terrorised Malaysia during the 90’s. Pa Ranjith, the director of the movie, refuted any connection with Bentong Kali though.

He said that the character takes inspiration from multiple dons.
