December 24, 2010 : Film Title: Ragada

Director: Veeru Potla.

Cast: Akkineni Nagarjuna, Anushka, Priyamani, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Charmi, Brahmanandam, Pradeep Rawat, Dev Gill.

Music: Thaman S

Rating: **1/2

Director Veeru Potla tries to play with the star power of Nagarjuna, who makes a grand entry in a lorry while lighting a cigar. He is an orphan named Satya Reddy, who has been brought up by a lady doctor, whose daughter was kidnapped by a baddy Devender Reddy. It is a power packed action film with triangular love story.

However, this is shown during the flashback of Nagarjuna in the second episode. Pradeep Rawat plays the powerful villain Peddhanna. Anushka plays Sirisha, a very glamorous role.

Dev Gill of Magadheera fame plays GK and Supreet plays Bhagvan and his father’s role is played by Kota Srinivasa Rao. Tanikella Bharani plays Devudanna warns his rival but Peddanna attacks and suddenly kills him. GK gets saved by Nag.

Charmi takes all the limelight with her dance and great choreography. The film has a little bit of good comedy otherwise very noisy with all action scenes. Priyamani has tried to show some of her acting skills but there is nothing new in the story so every effort goes in vain.
