Sai Tamhankar not yet finalised for ‘Hunterrr’ Telugu remake

Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar, who has been approached to reprise her own role from Hindi adult comedy “Hunterrr” in the film’s Telugu remake, is yet to be finalised, a reliable source said.

“The makers have initiated talks with Sai, but she hasn’t yet been finalized. It’s after running out of options, Sai was approached as the director is very keen to work with a talented artist than a star,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Starring Avasarla Srinivas in the lead, the project also features Mishti Chakraborty and Aadarsh Balakrishna.

Manasa Himavarsha and Sreemukhi were also rumoured to be part of the project.

“Hima was approached by the makers, but she wasn’t finalised. It’s strange how she went on record to say she’s part of the project. Sree Mukhi was signed on; however, there’s some problem with her dates as she’s also committed to another project. The makers are still figuring out her dates,” the source said.

Being directed by Naveen Medaram, the project is being bankrolled by Abhishek Pictures, Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films.
