Stalin was 2006 major Telugu money-spinner. The role performed by Salman Khan was originally enacted by telugu mega-star Chiranjeevi. The film is about a Major Stalin who invents a Principal to help others in life. Stalin was loosely based on a Hollywood Film titled ‘Pay It Forward‘ that had Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt. The Telugu version was directed by ‘Ghajini‘ fame A.R.Murugadoss and it garnered 15 Crores business in it’s opening weekend.

Sources also added about Salman Khan personally taking care of all the aspects of this film as he wants to re-boot brother Sohail Khan’s career back as a Director. “It was at Salman’s insistence that Tabu and Naseer were contacted. Salman felt that the duo could give the film a touch of class.” adds the Source.
