Mumbai, 27th January, 2009: T- Series album “Woh Bewafa”, sung by Agam Kumar Nigam and Tulsi Kumar, has been receiving a thunderous response in the market since it was released in the third week of December 2008. “Woh Bewafa” is the fourth successive album with T-series and the trio of Agamji, music director Nikhil and lyricist Praveen Bharadwaj has come together again for this album in the series. Agam Kumar Nigam celebrated the success of his fourth album “Woh Bewafa” in the presence of his son Sonu Nigam who recently gifted him a sparkling red colour BMW sports convertible, along with Chairman and Managing Director of T-Series Bhushan Kumar, Music Director-Nikhil, Creative Director-Divya Khosla Kumar, Singer-Tulsi Kumar and Lyricist – Praveen Bharadwaj. The event was held at the Country Club.
“Woh Bewafa” has yet again proved that good tunes with meaningful lyrics and sung from the heart will always appeal to music lovers. Shri Bhushan Kumar, of T-Series was the first one to discover the great singing talent of Shri Agam Kumar Nigam. He chose Music Director Nikhil to compose the melodies for all the four albums. Singer Agam Kumar Nigam carved a new niche in the world of playback singing with release of his fourth album in succession with T-series. The most noted factor of all the albums is that the songs have their independent videos. Singer Tulsi Kumar has proved she is excellent in singing Indian Melodies.
Divya Khosla Kumar, who has earlier directed all the “Bewafa” videos, was largely responsible for making them popular with the youth. Her great technique made the videos up market and gave a larger dimension to the sales of the Bewafa series. Divya has once again shown her great technique in making excellent videos which appeal to all masses and classes. The videos add a new impact with its high-quality visuals. The cinematography is classy and the choreography has a distinct finesse. There are a lot of efforts put in the selection of the beautiful locations and the appealing costumes. Each song is a classic with its rich visuals.
Nikhil the music director of the album, exclaimed, ‘It was an amazing experience to work with Agamji. I really enjoyed very moment-the rehearsal, the mixing and the recording. I have been associated for all the albums of the Bewafa series and I have become so fond of Agamji now. I like his voice, it is quite youthful.’
Sonu Nigam who joined his father to celebrate the success expressed,’ I’m really delighted at the success of the album. The glow on the face of my father gets contentment to my heart. He has always been my inspiration and mentor. I’m very happy at the response he’s getting from his audience.’ Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said, ‘Our association with Agamji has been of many years. He’s got a youthful and appealing voice that the people can relate to. We have full confidence in his talent and it has always been great working with him and I respect him a lot. The kind of response that we have got since the first album with him is simply amazing.’
Divya Khosla Kumar, who directed the videos of his album commented, ‘I thoroughly enjoyed working on the videos. The songs are so soulful that one’s creativity gets a boost. Agamji’s voice is very soothing and it gives a new meaning to the feeling of love and pain it was an amazing experience to be associated with the whole team.’
Tulsi Kumar commented, ‘It was a great experience to work with the whole team. I really like Agamji’s voice and enjoyed each recording session with him. I really respect him a lot.’ Lyricist Praveen Bharadwaj has been associated from the first album of this series and has proven the funda that simple and heartrending lyric is the marking of successful album. The album has a youthful touch; as all the videos narrate a story with a very modern feel, complimented by very good lyrics and melodious composition.
Commenting on the album, Agam Kumar Nigam the singer of the album adds,” Well it feels great to be associated with T-series and I am happy that my previous three albums have been immensely successful with them. It always feels at home whenever I visit the T-series office. The atmosphere has been quite conducive for me and so the output is great. I’m delighted that Sonu is present here to celebrate the success and I’m really touched with his ex-pression of affection.’
