Akshay Kumar has been the ultimate daring action hero Bollywood ever had. He has never shied away from danger. He has loved performing his own stunts but a recent underwater stunt would have had cost his life.
Akshay was shooting for a risky shot underwater and he met with an accident and injured himself. At that point of time he was 75 ft under the water and this could have been fatal. He was in the Bahamas to shoot for Blue, which is an action adventure set underwater. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta. The film is shot near an actual shipwreck and Akshay was supposed to be underwater with 35 sharks roaming around him.
Akshay, however, has got himself a certificate as a trained deep sea-diver but he hit his head against the shipwreck which started bleeding. The sharks are generally attracted to the smell of blood and the unit members were scared for him fainting due to it. Even as the shipwreck is rusted, it could have proved more dangerous. Finally, the crew members’ united effort saved the actor’s life. The shark trainers tried to cage the sharks and get Akshay out of the water. Akshay’s hurt however was continuously bleeding and it cased the risk of the other sharks in the ocean to get attracted to the spot.
Akshay however took it cool and joked about it to create a light atmosphere around him. A sure daredevil Akshay is!
