Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar & Arjun Rampal to organize a charity rock concert on 31 st October in aid of the children of Bihar in association with Nargis Dutt Memorial Cflaritable Trust. Mumbai, 17th October, 2008: Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal are once again coming together to organize a rock concert, “ROCK ON!! FOR HUMANITY” in aid of the children of Bihar.
This concert is stated to be held on 31sl of October, at the MMRDA grounds at Bandra Kurla Complex and is in association with the Nargis Outt Memorial Charitable Trust. This live rock concert will featurelndia’s leading rock bands like Pentagram, Parikrama, Pin Drop Violence, Dream Out Loud, Shaa’ir & Func, Rabbi, Kailasa and the trio Shankar Ehsaan and Lay along with Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan, and many more.
Farhan Akhtar, one of the organizers of the concert said, “As the name suggests Rock On for Humanity’ is an attempt to bridge the gap through the power of music. Ritesh, Arjun and I strongly believe that music is what binds us together. It’s (l great opportunity to brim: people under one umbrella to help the unfortunate. Numerous children have lost their homes, parents, and as human beings it’s our responsibility to make sure that they get all the love ana, cafe they deserve”.
Ritesh Sidhwani further added, “Children are always special and they make our lives even more special. I do hope with this effort of ours we are able to bring back the lost hop”e for these children who have been affected by this calamity. I would like to request each and everyone to be part of this endeavor of ours”.
Their heart goes out for all those people who have lost everything in this untime catastrophe, I can never imagine what those small children, who survived but lost their fami!ii’s in this incident are going through. ‘Rock On for Humanity’ is an effort from our side to bring a smile on these children’s faces and work towards a better future for them. We just hope that each and everyone supports us in our humble efforts to make this cause a huge success” added Arjun Rampal.
Priya Dutt too lends her support to the cause and adds, “This initiative taken by Farhan, Ritesh and Arjun is a very strong way to voice ones supportfor a cause which needs support from as many people lh’ possible.
