Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment hosted a special screening on Wednesday at PVR Phoenix to mark the DVD launch of Walt Disney’s classic animated film Snow White and Seven Dwarfs.
An eclectic mix of B-Town celebs like Darsheel Safary, Rensil D’Silva, music director and playback singer Ranjit Barot, South Indian actress Sada turned up to watch their all-time favorite film on the big screen.
Also seen were the likes of Rajat Bharjatya (Sooraj Bharjatya’s brother) who came in with his excited daughter and Siddharth Kanan who played a doting uncle to a friend’s daughter to enjoy the perfect evening with Snow White and the Dwarfs.
The evening began with the guests enjoying exotic cocktails and delectable snacks, followed by the screening.
Releasing for the First Time in India through DVD, this original classic is a magical tale of fun and adventure. Snow White and Seven Dwarfs was the first animated feature film ever. It was the highest-grossing motion picture of all time for a couple of years. The film received a special Academy Award in 1939 consisting of one full-size Oscar and seven dwarf Oscars- presented to Walt Disney.
