“Kailasa Chaandan Mein” is all set to enthrall fans. The album with SONY MUSIC – which hits the stores on 19th June – is touted as his best ever! Recently Kailash Kher was in the capital for the launch of his latest album “Kailasa Chaandan Mein” at Hotel Crowne Plaza, New Friends colony.

After the super-successful albums ‘Kailasa’ and ‘Kailasa Jhoomo Re’, Kailash Kher is back with a bang. His 3rd album – ‘Kailasa Chaandan Mein’ – hits the stores on 19th June’09.

The music of “Kailasa Chaandan Mein” continues the rich and soulful tradition of ‘Kailasa’ and ‘Jhoomo Re’ and enhances the flavour with the use of traditional and unique instruments in this new album.

The album was unveiled before the media by showcasing its breath-taking title video – “Chaandan Mein”. Shot in beautiful locales of Pushkar, Rajasthan, the video captures the emotions of the title track, threaded by multiple stories with a beautiful ending complimenting it impeccably with its realism and a rugged landscape

A visibly excited Kailash Kher said, “It takes a lot to create a song. Every tune, every word that we put into a song is a result of painstaking effort of my band members Naresh and Paresh, Kurt Peters (acoustic drums), Sanket (percussion), Shanky (violin, maadal), Tapas Roy (rebaab, saaz,mendolin, oodh). Hence imagine creating an album with 8 such songs. However its all worth it when you see people just lost into the songs you have created – when our music touches their lives, and their souls. The lyrics of the album have words from dialects of places that people from the cities watch in magazines and documentaries and call rural. However, I find words from these rural dialects like ‘Khadi-Boli’, are much more efficient in portraying the expression of ambience and feel that I want to convey through our songs…“Chaandan Mein” is the most emotional and intense album we have ever created and hence it’s the closest to our hearts. We hope it is the same to our fans too.”

The album was created in the melodic environs of ‘Kailasa Studio’ by Kailash along with his team of Paresh Kamath and Naresh Kamath.

“This is an organic album with the maximum use of acoustics instruments. Not a single instrument you will hear in this album is electronically generated. If we wanted a sound of an instrument – that instrument has been brought in from the sands of Rajasthan to the jungles of Africa”

This is the 3rd album which Kailash Kher – along with his band Kailasa – has released with Sony Music.

Later at night there was also Live Performance by Kailash Kher at Mirage, Hotel Crowne Plaza.

This album will fulfill the desires of all those who wish to hear soothing music and the new age listeners – ‘those that crave the thump’ would also enjoy this immensely! ‘Kailasa – Chandaan Mein’ is no doubt, full of surprises.
