Golmaal Returns has broken all previous records!!

Golmaal Returns has added one more feather in the cap of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. after blockbusters like Bhagambhag, Golmaal and Jab We Met. “Golmaal Returns” fired up the Indian new-year weekend with outstanding grosses from 1,050 locations worldwide.

The multi-starrer registered approx. $10 million at the box office within five days of its theatrical release on Wednesday 29th October, 2008, emerging as the numero uno release of the Diwali season!!! Its been the biggest 5-day opening weekend ever!

The film has smashed many records in Mumbai, CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan. In the Mumbai circuit, the B+C centres have never seen collections like Golmaal Returns before. The circuit has seen a new record of 17.75 crore for seven days. The film is well on its way to emerge as the biggest hit of 2008!!!

In the international markets, Golmaal Returns has done good business with 1.50 crore in United Kingdom, 1 crore in north America and 2 crore in the Middle East. In Pakistan, the long weekend produced an outstanding result of approx. 8.6 million Pakistani Rupees, breaking the record of the industry’s top openers. The total first weekend overseas business being around 5.50 crore.

In the UK & Ireland, just the opening catapulted the title to the coveted UK Top 10 sharing ranks with Hollywood biggies as “Quantum of Solace”, “High Street Musical 3″, “Mamma Mia”, “Ghost Town” and “Saw V”.

What can we say, Golmaal has surely Returned with a bang!
