Jyoti Jalaile an Instant Hit

Published on

March 16, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Devotional songs in Bollywood films have, off late, started becoming more and more popular, as the professional renditions of traditional songs give it that extra touch to make it extremely sweet on the ears.

Numbers like ‘Ik Onkar’ from Rang de Basanti, ‘O Palanhare’ from Lagaan, are commonly heard at prayer meetings, temples, poojas at home, and even as ringtones and caller tunes of every third person. The latest song to join the club, is the upbeat number ‘Jyoti Jalaile’ from Warner Bros. Pictures and Wide Frame Films’ comedy movie ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?’ that closely resembles the hit song ‘Beedi Jalaile’ from Kumar Mangat’s previous blockbuster ‘Omkara’ itself.

The song which features Paresh Rawal singing the praises of Devi Mata during a typical North Indian Jagran ceremony has become an instant hit among the audiences with its devotional lyrics interwoven in a commercially hit tune.

‘Jyoti Jalaile’ directly takes on from 2006 hit track ‘Beedi Jalaile’ sung by Sukhwinder Singh. It is a track that the audiences have already loved and has become the main highlight of the movie. The song has been beautifully recreated by new comer Amit Mishra, and in order to keep the spirit of the song intact singer Sukhwinder Singh has sung ‘Jyoti Jalaile’ himself.

Well, with the audiences already loving the light hearted antics of each character in the film, this song surely adds as a bonus to their fun filled experience.
