Perizaad Zorabian goes ethnic and how! As she joins the Kolis of Mumbai, the original inhabitants of Mumbai, on the occasion of their offering a seafood bonanza to the citizens and visitors to the Mumbai Festival this year, The Koli Sea Food Festival at Versova, which took off on January 24th at 6.30pm, display and offer famous koli cuisine of delicious seafood – Pomfrets, Surmai, Dry Bombay Duck among others, with rice gruel, curry (ambat) and fried fish among others, cooked in the most authentic manner. Col Sawant along with Perizaad, Suresh Oberoi, Mauli Ganguly, Dj Vipin, Honourable Minister Subodhkant Sahay were present to encourage the Koli participants at the fest.
The seafood connoisseurs, although ready to go miles for such delicacies, found the venue very convenient since it is located at a walking distance from the seven bunglows Depot at Versova Welfare School Ground, Church Road, Andheri West.

It’s not just the food here. The fare includes the Koli culture, traditions, skits, dances and songs, which was presented at the Koli Food Festival. At the inaugural ceremony on 24th January, there was dance, music and interesting folk fare. The festival will go on till 27th Jan.
